Take Action

How can I identify a child who could benefit from vision therapy?

  • Have a look at our signs and symptoms checklists. This is the first step in gauging the appropriateness of an evaluation at our office.

  • Download the Vision Therapy Guide to learn more about visual system roadblocks on the learning and reading path. This guide can be given to parents as well.

  • Anyone can call us with questions, even anonymously! We can be reached at 812-482-1411.

At the Vision Development Center, our family focused approach to treatment involves working closely with classroom and resource teachers to pave the transition of improved skills and confidence from our office environment to the classroom environment. Teacher observations during class time are an extremely important component in assessing the likelihood of a student in need of our services as well as in monitoring changes in the student's attitude, behavior and performance during his program of care.
